The Food Terminal Project
-
Formerly named as Barangay Bagsakan and Bagsakan Center Projects.
- Support to the Anti- Hunger Mitigation Program of the previous administration to address the concern on poverty.
- Implemented in NCR in 2005 while the first BFT Project in Region III was established in December 2007.
-
Barangay Food Terminal- is a barangay-based food depot and distribution system offering safe and quality agri-fishery products at low prices to the consumers at barangay level.
- Municipal Food Terminal- may be an existing or new market with provisions or amenities for wholesale trading. It can
also be a trading post or a collection center wherein farmers bring bulk of their produce to sell directly to
wholesalers/retailers in the market thereby cutting unnecessary trading layers.
